European energy infrastructure coverage

Inspect the dated inventories used by the map. These tiles count collected records; they do not measure current generation, energy stored or power flows.

Collected records · darker means more No records collected

44 countries and territories in this research scope. Layout is schematic. A blank tile does not establish absence of infrastructure. National inventories can include locations beyond Europe.

How to read the map layers

Electricity

Price colour by bidding zone, with connections and generation locations on top. Historical charts and tables read source APIs. The map overview retains its own snapshot date.

Storage

Country storage levels, with gas sites, LNG terminals and hydro locations. Facility readings appear only where reporting identities have been matched.

Country comparison

These equal-sized tiles compare inventory coverage. Open a country’s chart or table for recorded energy observations and their reporting period.

Infrastructure records are dated inventories, and some boundaries and connections are schematic. Missing records do not establish absence of infrastructure. ENTSO-E physical flows are measured bidding-zone border averages, loaded on selection; they are not individual cable measurements. See sources, units and methodology before comparing datasets.
