Explore Germany's reported electricity demand and compare its pattern with generation. The historical viewer requests total-load observations from ENTSO-E for the selected period. Load is electricity demand on the reported system, not a measure of total energy use across the economy.
Use hourly observations for periods through 14 days, or daily mean MW for 30, 90 and 365 days. The chart converts MW to GW. Daily means help compare days but conceal intraday peaks; use a shorter hourly period to investigate those. Missing or incomplete source observations remain blank.
